About Us
This is the Life Families Inc. is a membership organization providing a positive, engaging community for
multiracial families. We want to embrace the unique backgrounds of our members, and relate to
all parts of what makes you, YOU.
We connect families in the New York Metropolitan area that share the same vision and desire
for a diverse and accepting community. We offer a fun and cosmopolitan environment for open
minded families looking to meet others, and access unique opportunities and activities that
promote self confidence, friendship, strong values and acceptance.
Mission
This Is The Life Families Inc. is an organization for multiracial children and their families. Our mission is to build a community for our children to grow, have a voice and support system. We are a membership organization for families with children up to age 20 that will strive to educate, show the importance of volunteering, foster leadership and vocational aptitude. We are a platform for parents to come together and have their voices heard. It takes a village, and we
will be that village for each other.
What We Offer
Sponsored Membership
There’s a multi-step application process for prospective members. Current members will
sponsor families for preliminary assessment and application. From there, we want to get to
know you and your family and make sure we’re a good fit. This is not a popularity contest. It’s
a place to create true, meaningful connections in a fun and authentic way. Members strive to
give their families a community of respect, values, acceptance, and exposure to arts,
entertainment, culture, and educational experiences.
Activities and Events
We connect multiracial families who come from diverse backgrounds, but share similar values
of inclusion, open mindedness, and find value in good manners and respectful conduct.
Members play an active role in building this community and enjoy meeting new families that
can also relate and identify with them. We provide activities and events for children and families to provide connection, unique experiences, and encourage fun and friendship and promote a sense of community.
Friendship and Community
We facilitate connections between families, and our goal is to encourage acceptance and authentic friendships that last for years to come. There’s nothing like the feeling of being understood, heard, and accepted for who you are. We provide the gathering place- whether it’s a place to come together for a day-trip or a celebration. We create spaces where families and children can try new things, build a dynamic community, and share all that they have to offer the world.
Vocational Exposure
We seek to empower children and build their confidence by opening up different avenues and possibilities for their future. We expose children to new occupational opportunities available to them by offering activities and speakers from a diverse array of vocational areas so young ladies and young men can hone their individual passions, and maybe discover some new ones along the way. They can find a pathway to follow their dreams and make important connections with friends and the community as they grow.
